Getting there is adventure

Getting to Kenya is an adventure. You never know who you will witness to on the plane or what kind of sleep you can get as you fly. On this trip, we were delayed in Detroit because of a mechanical problem. This caused us to miss our connection in Amsterdam, so we spent a night as "stranded" passengers at a great hotel with great food. We were frustrated that we would lose a day of ministry on the island, but rested in the knowledge of the sovereignty of God. With our free afternoon in Amsterdam, we got extra rest. I was reminded that "he makes me lie down in green pastures". We had such a busy week getting ready for the trip that I didn't realize how tired I was.

We then flew to Nairobi on Tuesday and then stayed the night there. We rose early to catch a flight to Mfangano on Wednesday with AIM air. (missionary flights)
